Fire,All Consuming

catching hold of her
the fire was burning
she was not the girl
afraid of everything
she was the girl
who feared the day
she may feel nothing
her cries of salvation
were unheard mysteries
her eyes were like
the slated darkness
the more you looked
the deeper you fell
the emptiness was filling up quietly
silently looking for
what more was coming
she was not the girl
who feared everything
she was the girl
afraid of feeling nothing
she dreaded the pain
all consuming
